Why don't I like Armagnac?
If you don't like Armagnac, you're clearly not alone.
And above all... it's not necessarily your fault. Often, the first contact with Armagnac is not the right one.
It's a strong spirit, with character, and sometimes we taste it under poor conditions: too young, too dry, or just not suited to what we like.
There's also an image. It's often associated with something 'strong', a bit harsh, almost reserved for another generation. We already start with a preconceived notion.
But in reality, not all Armagnacs are alike.
Some are powerful, yes.
But others are much rounder, sweeter, with notes of vanilla, fruits, almost indulgent. And above all, the way you drink it changes everything.
A pure Armagnac, at room temperature, is not the same experience as a slightly chilled Armagnac or one in a cocktail.
So if you don't like Armagnac, maybe ask yourself this question:
- do you not like Armagnac... or just the one you tasted?
Because with the right product, at the right time, in the right conditions, the experience can be completely different.
At Artez, we believe that Armagnac should not be reserved for a few connoisseurs. It can be accessible, enjoyable, and even surprising.
Sometimes, it just takes giving it a second chance.
